My skincare routine

Skincare is a huge part of my every day life, without a good skincare routine my skin would definitely not be in such good condition (most of the time!!). In this post I am going to share with you the products I use everyday to keep my skin under control and recommend some fantastic products!

One of the first things I do in a morning when I wake up is wash my face, it really helps me to wake up and get ready for the day. To do this I use the Soap and Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash, I discovered this at the end of last year and have used it every day since. It has little beads mixed in with the liquid which means it gently exfoliates your skin and makes it lovely and smooth! After I've washed and dried my face I will then use the Nip and Fab Dragon's Blood Cleansing pads, I have no idea what dragon's blood is or where it comes from but it has done amazing things to my skin!! This step helps to ensure there is no dirt or bacteria on my face, I feel it has definitely helped to stop me getting as many breakouts as I used to.

I then use the Nip and Fab Dragon's Blood Serum which tightens my skin and helps my moisturiser to really sink in and do it's job. Which brings me to the last step of my morning skincare routine, my moisturiser. I use the Soap and Glory Speed Plump Moisturiser, I have already talked about how awesome this is in another blog post so I wont ramble on, but this stuff is AWESOME!!!!

My skincare routine is slightly different on a night time purely because I usually have makeup to take off. If I have been wearing makeup I will start by taking it off with the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and cotton wool pads, I love using a combination of these as you can really see all your makeup coming off onto the cotton pad and you therefore know when you've got most of it off! Once I can see that there is hardly any makeup coming off onto the cotton pad I will do a double cleanse with Superdrug's Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser. If I have had a day where I have worn no makeup I will skip the first step and start with the hot cloth cleanser. You apply this product straight onto a dry face, it feels like a really thick moisturiser, once its all rubbed in I use a muslin cloth to remove the product and rinse my face. I repeat this step again just to ensure that all my makeup is definitely off my face, I have never ever gone a night in my life without taking my makeup off and I'm super proud of that!!

I then do two steps the same as I do in a morning, I use the Nip and Fab Dragon's Blood Cleansing Pads and then the Nip and Fab Dragon's Blood Serum. The final step of my night time routine is to use the Soap and Glory Speed Plump Overnight Moisture Mousse, this again is a fairly new discovery that I decided to buy due to loving their daytime moisturiser so much and I was not disappointed. I have never had a moisturiser like this one before, its called a Moisture Mousse and that description is definitely true, it really is mousse like but feels thick, yet it sinks into the skin beautifully. I then go to sleep very happy, knowing I have lovely cleansed, clean and moisturised skin and wake up in the morning ready to start the routine all over again!

You may notice that I do not use any high end skincare products in my routine, I have used them previously but found it way too expensive to keep stocked up all the time. I then looked into cheaper alternatives, and feel that they are just as good (yay!!) and save me lots of pennies.

Thanks a bunch for reading this post, I hope you've enjoyed it and want to try out some of these products for your self!

Feel free to leave comments  and any recommendations for other products for me to try out!
